Can customers use AMEX Card to buy products?
Yes, however, if you are using PayPal as your payment gateway you will need to log into your PayPal account to grant permission for AMEX cards to be accepted by your account.
To complete this action log into you PayPal account, go to Profile and select Selling Preferences and then select American Express card acceptance. See image below:
